SUMMER 2019 SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES

2 hour workshops

All workshops suitable for 5 - 12 year olds

Starting from Jun 24th 

 

The time has come to explore every corner of art land. Join us this summer at Creart to think outside the box and create wonderful one-of-a-kind art pieces. Campers will leave no paint bucket unturned using materials and tools found inside and outside the art box. Challenge your inner artist while you design and create sculptures, wearable art pieces and art from around the world.

 

Krazy, Kolorful & Kooky - Say it with Color 

 

Who needs words when we have color? Color allows us to express feelings and emotions. Join us to create art by using all the colors we can possibly find! How many colors can you think of? Learn the “magic” of mixing colors to make new colors while making fabulous drawings, paintings and sculptures.

To infinity & Beyond

 

Get ready to launch off into space! We will build our own miniature spaceships and imagine what we will see on our journey to new planets and far away galaxies. Explore black holes and discover alien civilizations. Join us this week and we will take you on an artistic adventure out of this world! Oh, and one more thing..watch out for the monsters, aliens, and robots that might be lurking. You’ve been forewarned!

Magical creatures: Dinosaurs, Dragons and Unicorns

Track wild and wonderful beasts from your imagination as you stuff, build, draw, and paint fantastical creatures of your own. If our other animal camps are too tame for you, then its time to let your imagination run wild in a world of wild magical creatures. Get ready for an enchanted time at this camp!

Insectarium - Bugs & Botanicals

 

Look up, look down, look all around.  We live on a planet where we are surrounded by so many fascinating insects, gardens and dwelling of all different shapes and sizes.  These creatures are crawling, jumping, flying, swimming and slithering all around. Be inspired by the shapes, colors, and metamorphosis through painting, drawing and sculpture making.

Around the world

Pack your bags and get ready to travel the world! Create art inspired by different destinations and get a passport stamp at each stop. Travel different continents and learn new skills along the way.

Sea Life-Under water Aquatic Adventure

Sharks, octopuses, fish, coral, shipwrecks, mermaids, and so much more. Campers will learn about and recreate many different sea creatures. This will be an interesting week using lots of art supplies! Draw an otter, paint a whale, sketch a seahorse and  create an ocean scene. Be challenged and inspired to create magical underwater art while learning painting and drawing techniques.

Jungle Excursion

This camp is going to be wild!

Students will learn about African animal species and animal conservation while creating art projects that focus on learning a variety of art techniques including drawing, printmaking and sculpture. You will get to paint, sketch and learn, as you engage in all sorts of activities that teach you about our furry, fuzzy and scaly friends.

Wearable Art 

Do you love to accessorize or make your own wearable stuff? Have you always wanted to learn how to embellish your own T-shirt or make your own beads? Then this camp is for you! Spend the week creating your own amazing wearable treasures. We will explore material use, learn about sewing/ embroidery and the beauty of things handmade.

Clay for kids

 

These classes introduce children to the wonderful medium of clay. Varied and exciting projects using handbuilding techniques, including animals, sculptures, containers, tiles and more will be undertaken. Both directed projects and experimentation will be supported and encouraged as each child's skill evolves.
